Emil Singer papers letters price list.

Consists of correspondence between Emil Singer and Philip Ellovich concerning the emigration of the Singer family from Austria during the Holocaust. Letters written by Philip Ellovich in the 1940s and 1950s concern his search for Emil and Grete Singer after World War II. Also included is an article written by Ed Leffingwell concerning an exhibition of Sincer's art work at the Insignia Gallery in Youngstown, Ohio.

Emil Singer was born 17 Aug 1881 in Gaya, Moravia. He was a Jew of Austrian citizenship and an etcher. He resided with his wife, Grete, in Vienna until their deportation to Poland on 12 May 1942. It is suggested by documents in the collection that the Singers were killed in the Izbica camp in Poland. From the description of Emil Singer papers letters price list.
